No longer going to vaccinate DD

This was decided at the last minute. We delayed/selective vaxed before but it hit me in the doctors office at her one month well visit that we shouldn't be doing this. I got a weird feeling inside. We found a new doctor who is supportive of non/delayed and selective vax parents but we decided to see her current ped just for the 1 year well visit since her records weren'tr transferred over yet. He gave us this speech about the MMR which I thought was ridiculous. She wasn't getting it anyway. I told him thanks but we aren't doing shots today just everything else involved with the well visit. I feel so great about it but wish we hadn't vaxed before. We want to try for another next year and won't vax that child. Hearing the doctor wax on about how horrible it is to not get the MMR just made me feel sick. "You don't want her to get sick do you?"

Next time you get that, give your doctor the "that's why we chose not to vaccinate" response.

Congrats on coming over to the other side. You are now officially a conspiracy theorist who hates your country, apple pie, babies and butterflies.

What's in bold made me laugh so hard. I don't like someone asking me if I want my daughter to get sick as if there are parents sitting around plotting how to makes their kids sick. Today I'm going to a "how do give my daughter the flu playgroup!" LOL

Your story kinda sounds like mine. At about 4 months i just decided this wasnt for us and I wish I had decided sooner. My next baby wont even get the Vit K shot.

My DH is too. I am glad it didnt take too much convincing. I update him of every new piece of info I find.

Oddly enough its this topic that turned me onto all the conspiracy "theories". Some are outrageous but others are spot on. I will never trust corporate sponsored media again.
