let me know how you feel. i placed a large order for diapers from a place i had never ordered from but are listed in the mothering shopping guide. first my total was calculated incorrectly. after i emailed they said they would fix it. now i just got an email saying they cant fill my order for approximately 3 weeks. i kind of feel like cancelling, becuase the order is for about $100 and i dont want to worry about it coming or getting lost for the next 3 weeks, or possibly longer, i dont know if approximately 3 weeks might mean 4 weeks. plus, i need more diapers now or else i will be stuck doing laundry more often. what would you do?

I'd cancel
All of the diapers I get now are from WAHM and made specifically for my hard to fit baby, so of course then I expect long wait times. I think I just waited 5 or 6 weeks, but again, they were made just for baby Leif. If you're getting something like fuzzibunz or bg's I would think you could find places that could get them out to you super quick.
So yeah, I'd cancel, especially if you need them now
Good luck!

Oh, that's kind of irritating...
If it were me, though, I would be as polite as I can about it, stating the situation as it is, how you are not happy with the service because of the original overcharge, and then the unexpected delay, and how you were hoping to have the diaper order before the end of the week because you need them. While they may not be able to get the diapers out any sooner, they might throw in an extra discount, free shipping, or a free gift. Be honest--you never know what might come your way. They will be happy that you told them so they can try to fix the problem before you cancel the order and take your money somewhere else, if that is what you decide to do.
As a small business owner myself, I try to go out of my way to please my customers. It is not uncommon for me to drop 10% off the top of the order because of an unexpected delay. I want to keep everyone happy, and hopefully they will come back for more!

Galatea,
I looked at your site and it seemed like you had a few in stock. I was thinking of getting a few from you and then waiting for the rest from the other place. Do you have any left? |
In BG 3.0, I have 2 ribbit, 2 moonbeam, 1 white, 2 zinnia. I hope those are the exact colors you want!!!!
