Anyone else due or overdue with no promising signs?

I'm due today. It feels weird to say that...I kind of guessed I'd go overdue this time, call it intuition. I'm not even that impatient to get things going, I feel like things will happen when they do.
But I haven't had any real contractions since Wednesday or any other indications that labor might be on its way. Anyone else in this boat?

I'm also wondering what to do with my prenatal appointments at this point. After last week's fiasco my first instinct is to stay as far away from the office as possible. I didn't even think to discuss it with them before, but I don't know if the mw's or docs are going to want to start automatically doing NSTs and AFI's and all that other crap on me just because my due date is passed. The baby shows every indication of being just splendid - good heartbeat, great movements, all that stuff. My AFI was great on Tuesday (because they insisted on doing one) and I highly doubt it's changed in the last week.

Anyone else dealing with this? Does your HCP automatically want to do testing once you've passed your EDD?

Maybe this LO just wants to be a full-moon baby. With so many ladies having babies early (hurray!!!), I just wanted to see if anyone else has waved hi and goodbye to their EDD and is still not holding a newborn.

I'm not due until the 23rd, but my HCP likes to induce at 41 weeks (and in practice, they are perfe3ctly happy to induce in the 39th week if your cervix is favorable, bc they luuuuurve to have these things scheduled!).

If you don't feel impatient to get things going, I think you should trust your intuition on that one. Don't call your HCP. Trust me, they'll be in touch

Hi! Crashing from the April DDC. I am now 41 weeks and my midwife wants to start doing extra testing stuff this week. I feel the baby is doing just great though and think I will tell her I would like to have one more week and then check things out at 42. And hopefully I won't be pregnant by then! Good luck with everything! It's getting tough waiting!

Mine normally start the testing around 41 weeks in a "normal" overdue pregnancy. If yours is already testing, though, they may do it sooner.

I am 40 +4. No signs of labor. I have a regular appt at 41 weeks, then a couple of days later I start the testing. I really don't mind going in for testing, at that point i will want reassurance the baby is doing well.

I'm here, but I'm kinda more from the April DDC. My very accurate dates put me at Apr. 29th, but the early U/S put me at May 1. Whatever, it's obviously past all that! So, at the MW appt. tomorrow they want to start the NST and US to check the babe. I'm ok with that. I could use the reassurance. I was feeling real sorry for myself the end of last week, but I'm more confident today. As I said to DH, well the baby will definitely be born this week or next! The bad thing is the MWs don't want a VBAC to go past 41 weeks. Now, they should just tell the baby that....

Hi, I'm "overdue" too. My edd was the 1st, but I knew that I would go past that (this is the 4th time to pass my dd, and I've been very sure of my dates everytime!). My midwife likes to start the nst and ultrasounds at 41 weeks and do them twice a week, she feels comfortable letting me go to 43 weeks. It can be a huge hassle and stress to go in twice a week. I've been thinking that maybe my baby wants to be a full moon baby too!

I'm late. 16 days late based on my u/s, 3 days late from the date I gave my mw. So anyway you look at it, I am late. I had a bpp on Monday. I don't think I could do another one, having to lay on my back to get the AFI was VERY painful. So if we want another I will just say forget it, induce me. Baby's movements are few and far between. They (us people) said it was because of over crowding. Thats funny and sad at the same time lol. Baby was estimated to be 9 lbs 9 oz on Monday (as accurate as these things are). But he did look crowded in there. All smooshed up.

I've had some mucous but other than that no signs of anything happening. Never do though. Although I did notice I am not having as many bh. Maybe my uterus is tired lol.
