When dd was in diapers, I left her coverless almost all the time when we were at home, usually by pinning the prefold (I had a
: moment when I discovered when she was nearly two that I had been pinning the prefolds wrong the whole time and that's why they kept falling off). Sometimes by using fitteds.
My mother, too, prefers to leave a baby coverless. That way we can change them the minute they pee. They never get diaper rash, and any rash they may already have clears up in a few hours.
Everyone else I know seems to prefer pockets, AIO's or AI2's because they're easier and don't leak on the outside. I'm just wondering, don't babies in non-breathable diapers get rashy quickly if their parents don't really stay on top of the changing? Everyone I know IRL who uses cloth is in love with Fuzzi Bunz, but even if I didn't have a problem with microfleece stink, I wouldn't like that they don't breathe and it's harder to tell when they're wet.
Anyone have any experience with this, or comments?
