Today was our local March for Babies. I debated going but we went. Next year, we will do team shirts and have a party at our house. Since everything is currently crazy, we went as a family.
I saw a OB/MW practice for Georgie. She was supposed to be very up and coming, giving women who wanted to needed a hospital birth one, but totally respecting of our natural birth wants. I mainly saw the MW and totally adore her and had 45 minute visits! How awesome! I know Georgie is as strong as he is, as big as he was and did so good because of the awesome physical and emotional care I recieved. She also had a 32 weeker, so my pp visit was helpful.
Then looooong story, the hospital shut downt he practice and I was left 4 weeks pp with no dr, no emotional support from drs, tons of questions, a baby who had problems growing... I was fired from my coaching job... yeah, not a good time. I always wanted to give my MW an update on the baby. and never could.
Guess who spotted me at the March! The MW! I got a picture of her with the baby and the neonatologist who transferred him and, by happy chance, discharge him. The guy is awesome and has a wonderful personality.
The beginning and the end... all together in one day. It was... healing...
