I am nine weeks pregnant and taking 5mg lexapro. When I found out I was pregnant I tried to go cold turkey and had side effects. The doctor told me to cut my 10 in half and start taking 5 for 2 weeks. I felt so bad taking the medication that I decided to only take it when I was feeling really bad. I can go about every 5 days before I have to take a 5mg pill.
Because Lexapro is a cat C drug there is not too much info about it effecting the baby at birth. My question is for you moms that were on Lexapro. Did you all have healthy babies? I heard it can have effects on the lung development if taken after 20 weeks. My doctor is not giving me that much info about staying or not to stay on it so i am asking you and what your doctors recommended.
