Are stainless containers freezer safe?

I have a set of stainless steel storage containers (the Tramontina prep & store set-- a set of stainless mixing bowls, 4 med/lg square containers, and four small rounds, all with plastic lids.)

They don't say anything on the bottom, and I am wondering if they are freezer safe? I can't find anything online, as I think this set is discontinued. Is stainless steel freezer safe in general? I'm trying to find better alternatives to plastic in the freezer.

(I wasn't sure where the best place to post this was, sorry!)

Yes, stainless is freezer safe. The thing to be careful with is the lids. WHen you take the stainless from cold to warm and back again, the expansion and contraction of the bowl itself is at a different rate than the plastic lid. I have one set of (6) small bowls that I have split all but 1 lid on just from packing them in DH's lunch. When I pack his lunch the lid fits fine, but when he gets home in the evening the lid is split in half and obviously no longer fits.
