We've fallen off the bandwagon.
Just looking for a little sympathy and understanding.

We don't do much tv around here.

But 3 weeks ago I developed bronchitis - which turned into pneumonia last week.

I've been miserable - and about *this close* to being admitted to the hospital a few times.

DH can only work from home so much to help me out. DS has been bored out of his mind because he can't go outside much (it's raining, and I can't be up long enough to go out with him) - and I can't be up long enough for our usual things...library hour, play date, baking, crafting etc. I've been laying down, sleeping, coughing, and more sleeping. (I have a lap-top - so I'm able to be on the computer occasionally) I can't even talk to him very much without going into a coughing/wheezing/short of breath spell.

So I caved this past week. I parked him in front of the television to watch PBS and Disney cartoons. In one week he's watched more television than he has in his entire life. Martha Speaks, Word World, Maya and Miguel, Arthur, Bob the Builder, Beethoven, and The Lion King over and over again.

Tell me we'll be ok. Tell me when I'm well and I turn off the television again we won't have a battle.

He'll be so glad to have you well again... and so glad to be back to your usual routine... I don't think you'll have much trouble.

How are you doing now? My guess is, if there is a "battle", it will be short, and you'll all be OK in the end.
