I was contacted and am just giving a heads up. Rep. Maloney's office is gearing up for a reintro of the BPA. I am going to be organizing the activist presence at the press conference again. Maybe with Dems in power in both houses and the White House, this can be the year. Given that a lot of women friendly bills ARE getting passed (Lily Ledbetter, the Federal Worker paid maternity leave...) I am thinking we have a much friendlier environment. My eleven year olds were still nursing when this was first introduced. It is about time.
The tentative date for reintro is later this month and when I have firm details I will ask all of you to start spreading it far and wide. I hope we can get a massive pre-press conference call/writing campaign to get more Reps. as cosponsors and showing up at the press conference. What can you do now? Go to Maloney's website and see if your Rep is a cosponsor. If not call his/her office and ask to speak to a legislative aide and ask your Rep to be a cosponsor. If you live near DC and have a breastfeeding in the workplace discrimination story and are willing to travel, you may be able to speak (in the past we have had mother's share stories with the press) so PM me.

: I couldn't find anything either. I'd like to write my congressman but I don't know if he's a cosponsor or not.
