Dr Sears slings, any opinions?

I'm thinking of getting one of those. With my first 2 I had a bag sling, now I'm reading through these posts which say that they're dangerous.

I would like a sling that can change positions. I do like the look of the sears slings, but I'd like some opinions.

Thank you!

Do you mean the NoJo? If so, it's not a very good sling -- very hard to adjust and ill-fitting. An unpadded ring sling such as a Maya Wrap lightly padded or a Sleeping Baby or other good brand (there are a lot of great unpadded, open-tailed rings slings out there) would be a much better choice as far as ring slings go. There are also a bunch of different types of baby carriers -- read here and at www.thebabywearer.com -- some of my faves for newborns are stretchy wraps like the Moby or Sleepy Wrap and mei tais like the Kozy and BabyHawk.

Balboa Baby by Dr Sears

I have the Balboa Baby by Dr Sears, but it hasn't really worked for me. Part of my issue though might be that I am very petite (5 ft) and have a very big baby (over 20 lbs at 4 months!) With that in mind, it really hurts my back. Also, it just doesn't feel as secure to me. I keep one hand on him at all times, because it feels like he could possibly wiggle out of the side. I have it adjusted the smallest it can, and this is still an issue. This may not be a problem for someone who is not as short with a smaller baby though, who knows.

Thanks to you both for the advice! I've been looking at the Maya's, might get one of those.
