Guessing Birth Stats

Thread Starter
Let's have a fun thread to pass the time a bit

Give it your best guess, then we'll bump it and go in and edit our responses after we have our little ones to see how correct we were. *Make sure that after you have your baby you go in and quote your original post, that way we can compare.

I'll go first :

Birth date: August 19th or 21st. I can't decide yet which one....

Birth time: 1:21pm

Gender: Girl (we already know though)

Weight: 7lbs 11oz

Length: 21"

Eta: Labor Length: 4 hours, 45 minutes (please let it be shorter!

My DH guesses..

Birth date: August 20th

Birth time *this was cute, he thought I was asking him how long he thought the labor would be*: 2 hours and 50 minutes

Birth Time:6:45pm

Weight: 8lbs 2oz

Length: 20.5

And, DS1 was: 6 days before EDD, 7lbs 4oz and 19 3/4" Labor Length was 9 hours start to finish, only 1 hour of pushing! At home, in the water, no tears or problems of any kind).

birth date: August 17th (exactly 9mo from conception like DD) or August 23rd (minimum time needed to have another Virgo)
birth time: 4:30pm
sex: boy (or girl... I really have no strong feelings!)
weight: 8lbs 15oz
length: 21"

DD was born at 4:30am at 40w+8 days weighing 9lbs10oz and 21". I am hoping for a brief daytime labor (4-6h, DD was 10h).

ooh, I'll play. I have just started thinking about this recently.

Birth date: August 28th (I can't decide between this or early morn. Aug. 29th)

Birth time: 11:14 pm

Gender: boy

Weight: 8lbs. 4oz.

Length: 21"

I don't know if you ladies want to ad more.... but

Labor (start to finish): 28 1/2 hrs. * I am mentally preparing for a long labor so anything shorter will be a wonderful surprise*

Gender: boy
weight: 7lbs 8oz
Length: 21"
Length of labor: 4 hours would be nice

DD was 3+ weeks late, 3 days labor, 7lb 8 oz (I'm hoping for a quicker birth than 3 days)

birth date: august 7th (we have two other family members born on this date!)

time: 6am

gender: boy

weight: 8lbs 1oz

length: 20"

length of labor: 6.5 hours
Birth Day: August 3rd

Time: 9:30am

Gender: Girl

Weight: 7lbs 3oz

Length 19.5"

Length of Labor: 6 hours

---------------------------------------
DH'S GUESS - He really just asked me what the "average" baby is and added or subtracted a tiny bit. Ha ha..

Birth Day: August 7th

Time: 10:30pm

Weight: 7lb 4oz

Length: 19.5"

Labor: 8 hours

My first son was born at 1:15am after 27 hours of labor. He was 7lbs 14oz and 21" long. I had him at home with 3 hours of pushing, but no complications. I'm hoping this baby will slide out a lot easier!

Birth date: August 14th

Time: 3PM

Gender: boy

weight: 9 pounds

Length: 21"

Length of labor: 16 hours

Birth: It will be a good birth with minimal interventions. My mom and grandmothers will join me from the spirit world to welcome my new son and I will feel their guiding loving presence throughout the day.

DH and I were both second children and two weeks late, so I'm guessing Jonah will be at least one week late. We already know it's a boy Both of our families have 8 to over 10 pound babies, so I'm guessing 9. I really hope I'm wrong about 16 hours of labor, but that number just sticks out in my head for some reason.

DH's guesses:

Birth date: August 8th

Time:7:48 pm

Gender: boy

weight: 8 pounds

Length: 17”

Length of labor: 13 hours

Gender: Boy (we already know though)

Weight: 9lbs. 2oz.

Length: 21- 1/2"

Labor Length: 6- 1/2 hours

DD was:
10 hours labor
20-1/4 in
5:23 pm
1 day early
8.5 lbs.

Birth date: August 27th (EDD is Aug. 26), my birthday is May 27, my parent's anv is June 27, and my brother's birthday is July 27 - it would be very fun to have a birthday in line with those. Either that or September 4 which is when the full moon is.

Birth time: 11:50pm

Gender: Boy (unless the u/s was wrong)

Weight: 7lbs 2oz

Length: 19.5"

I'm not willing to bet on how long my labor will be! I'm hoping it's short and sweet and completely unlike my mother's labors (48+ hrs)

Reading other's responses makes me feel like I'm planning on having a tiny baby! I was pretty small at birth (2 oz shy of 7lbs) and DH was also in the 6lb range.

Birth date: August 15th
Birth time: 2:22 am
Gender: Boy (unless the u/s was wrong)
Weight: 8lbs 2oz

Length: 21"

I bet I'll have a 7-8ish hour labor.
I might be induced if I test positive for strep B, so I have time for the meds.... I DO NOT like messing around with that junk!

We'll see how it goes!

Birth date: Any day before Aug 22 or any day AFTER. Baby will not be born on my 2nd son's birthday.

Time: 3am

Gender: Boy/Girl, some sort of a human

weight: This baby better be freaking 12 pounds or I'm sending them back in.

Length: 21.5"

Length of labor: 30ish, I'll go into 'labor' at least a day before, active labor will be about 3 hours most.

First son, 46 hours of labor ending in a horrible epi and lame on the back delievery. meh.
second son, 36 hours of labor ending in a beautiful healing water birth in our home.

Birth date: August 29 (12 days after EDD)

Birth time: 4:32 p.m.

Sex: Boy

Weight: 10 lbs., 2 oz.

Length: 22.5"

Labor Length: 9 hours.

My husband guesses..

Birth date: August 21

Birth time: 10:49 p.m.

Sex: Girl

Weight: 9 lbs., 9 oz.

Length: 22"

Labor Length: 8 hours.

ETA: My son was induced on his due date and born 3 days later, and he weighed 9 lbs., 1 oz., and was 22 inches long. My daughter came 14 days after her due date, weighing 10 lbs., 7 oz., and 22.5 inches long. My labor with my daughter was about 10 hours, although I had AROM, which I think probably shortened it a bit (and my labor with my son is irrelevant, since I was induced).

An 8lb, 17" baby? That's one short, fat babe. I think your husband hasn't been around too many newborns.
