Take a look at this!! It's a panel of "experts" giving advice via sound bytes to parents seeking information on vaccines.

Wow this is such a great source of unbiased information

Guess who is on the panel...Amanda Peet and Paul Offit!

Amanda Peet? Good gracious

Wow, what an excellent resource for parents : . My concerns have finally been laid to rest, I'm just another paranoid, worried mother.

: What a load of BS.

Offit compared vaccine causing autism to a peanut butter sandwich causing leukemia.

The doctor who was against the alternative schedule certainly thought that simply because a lot of his patients were CHIP/Medicaid they would have transportation issues getting to the clinic and therefore their kids would end up behind in their schedules. Funny, because I know plenty of parents whose kids are on CHIP/Medicaid (myself included) either own a working vehicle or know the public transportation system quite well. It's amazing to me how somebody with that level of education can make that assumption simply based on the type of insurance one carries. Amazing. There are many families (at least in my state) who are able to get by every month without welfare but still need help with health insurance for their children. It's funny how every time a child who is on CHIP/Medicaid is found to be unvaccinated/undervaccinated it's blamed in the parent's lack of education or lack of access to resources. It's like they can't fathom in their mind that perhaps there is another, much more pressing issue behind it. My children are unvaccinated (probably will be selectively vaccinated in the future) because I did my research and made the best choice for *my* family, not because I'm poor and don't know any better. :

I guess that means it is ok to eat 10,000 peanut butter sandwiches in 1 day!

I only listened to the one about chicken pox. It was nauseating.

The doctor actually said something like:
"The people who remember having chicken pox as a kid and coming through it just fine are the the ones who actually survived. Others weren't so lucky."

I haven't listened to it yet.....but the doctor actually says this giant load of BS!
The Chickenpox Vaccine is associated with causing the current Shingles epidemic. There are 3 times more deaths from Shingles then CP! LIES ALL LIES from these people!!!!

Oh man, I listened to this one: Why do we care so much about preventing chicken pox? and she's talking about some type of flesh eating disease that comes with chicken pox and strep? What? I don't remember kids having limbs fall off when I was a kid getting chicken pox.

While I feel absolutely terrible for the children who died of complications surrounding chicken pox, the reality is that for most it is a mild disease. Me, my brother, and my sister all came through it okay, but my own children recently had it and were fine. Of course, I watched them very closely for any sign of complication.

They sound like crazy people!! I mean , it's a blatant lie. It's creepy.

They are exaggerated to the point where one would think that greed has driven them insane... That commercial should be banned for Paul Offits conflict of interest...!! Amanda Peet is just ..ugh,

Oh for f***'s sake. The CDC admits they introduced the vaccine so parents would not have to stay home with sick kids. Stop lying and making this BS up about it being dangerous because that was not the original reasoning and you know it!

Yes.
I remember in elementary school there was a boy that died from chicken pox. He wasn't in my grade/class so I didn't know him personally but the adults (my teacher, my parents, etc) told us that he was already a "very sick little boy" and that chicken pox is usually mild and harmless, we shouldn't be scared of chicken pox and that it's a good thing to get so we protect ourselves.
Amazing how that death would be taken now-a-days.
Very sad but this is a mild disease for most.

Paul Offit. Ugh. He just needs to go away.

Paul Offit is a treasure.

That needs to be buried. Oops, that didn't sound like a death threat did it?

OMG. I listened to the chickenpox one. The fact that so many people are going to buy that BS is sad. To me it sounded like a hilarious SNL spoof or something. Let's make it sounds so scary and throw in flesh eating disease.

Was it a sarcasm or is there any grain of truth to this?

Rofmao!! The hysteria about cp astounds me. Even on the CDC website as of a couple weeks ago death wasn't even really mentioned as a possible effect (at least that I could find). I mean dear lord how can we have a possible overpopulation issue given that my generation all had CP - certainly half of us died off during that epidemic since it's so deadly! (sarcastic) Don't get me wrong, I really feel terrible for the families that suffer such tragedy from cp, but that's more the exception than the norm and always has been! And really, ANYTHING can be fatal in the right/fluke situation! (Read a case where a child got pinworms and it ended up killing her, just a real oddball fluke thing to happen.) It's pretty scary how many people will accept this as gospel and not do their own research on vaccines.

I couldn't agree more. Vaccines are seriously like a religion for these people. But not really a religion so much as a cult. Blind, unquestioning obedience to authority and they're ready to burn heretics at the stake. And they're the ones calling us radicals. :
