Mayo Clinic's Article about circ

Here is the article:

http://www.mayoclinic.com/health/circumcision/PR00040

I found it to be way more pro circ than not . For example it says "Circumcision may have health benefits, including:
Easier hygiene
Decreased risk of urinary tract infection
Prevention of penile problems
Decreased risk of penile cancer
Decreased risk of sexually transmitted diseases

and Circumcision also has drawbacks, including:
Surgical risks (nothing about possible MRSA, amputation or death is mentioned)
Pain

This seems a bit lopsided to say the least.

I wish these big establishments would get their info right- so many mainstream parents take their word for it when they say it's better.

Maybe we could put together a letter that was generic enough to send to corporations such as these to help re-educate them? and demand that current info is on their sites?

I know what you mean - I would LOVE to be able to use the Mayo site as an unbiased source of info for parents, because in all other respects I think Mayo is the premier medical facility in the world (we live close enough to Rochester that I have had my son treated there, and I know a lot of people who go to Mayo on a regular basis, and I have never heard one bad thing).

EXCEPT for this particular page on their web site. No one individual admits to writing it, so it's impossible to complain to one person directly. I have e-mailed in the past, to recommend areas where the page could be updated, and not only got no response, but obviously no changes were made.

It's been a while, though - it might be worth trying again.
