Gnats?

Ok, so I'm not the *best* at cleaning a poopy diaper... but it usually doesn't sit around for more than a day or so (usually I clean them in them in the same day that she poops in them). But lately when I go to clean the diaper there have been a couple of gnats flying around in the diaper. They look like fruit flies rather.. like the kind you'd find on an old banana.

This has been going on for a week and my concern that she has eggs in her poop? Is that completely absurd? I just can't figure out where they're coming from. Should I ignore this? TIA!

It sound like they might bew sewer flies, I had a problem with these not on my diaper sbut in the drains. They look like a cross between a gnat and a fruitfly. Do some on line research as they are very gross and carry a lot disease. NOt something you want to mess around with.

There have been threads posted about this before. So you're definitely not alone. Does your pail have a lid? Someone mentioned before that a good tight lid helps.

Good luck!
