soy-free marinade recipes?

I am looking for some marinade recipes that are soy free. It seems like every recipe I am finding have either soy sauce or teriyaki sauce in them. Does anyone have a good recipe for marinade?

Thanks,
Lori

What kind of flavor are you wanting? Marinades are usually just acid, spices and maybe a little bit of oil. I just do red wine vinegar, garlic, olive oil. Smush around.

I am looking for a variety of flavors. I wouldn't even know what proportion to use when measuring the oil and vinegar, though that sounds good. Do you know about what proportions I should use?

Thanks

I like to marinate lamb in a blend of orange juice and pomegranate molasses. Or else in a little red wine vinegar, garlic, rosemary and olive oil.

Simple would be your favorite balsamic vinaigrette. I usually use less oil, though.

Lately, I've been marinating almost everything as though it's carne asada. Yum. You can find recipes online.
