Bum Genius AIO Organic - questions

I recently bought a variety of diapers and now that we've moved into our new home with a washer and dryer I've given up diaper service (prefolds) and started playing with them. I bought a lot of Bum Genius AIO organics...I think 12 of them. I notice when I take them off DD will have some droplets of pee on her...like the dipe isn't absorbing so well. Also it feels wet...whereas the fuzzi bunz with fleece feel much drier even after a longer time. Does anyone else find this? Do you use a doubler with the AIO organics? DD leaked this morning after only 3 hours but I think DH might have put it on so that a bit of the inside material was sticking out in the back. Also how long does it take for you to dry these diapers? I found it took forever!! I'm wondering if I might end up buying pocket diapers instead for the rest of my stash or more sposoeasy.

Since this is cotton, it will not feel dry to the baby's skin, but not all babies need that. (If you like that stay-dry feeling, then you should get pockets.)

This diaper needs to be prepped a lot to reach full absorbency. I recommend at least 6 washings, and even then, it will continue to grow in absorbency. After about 10 washings, it will be the trimmest and most absorbent diaper you have.

My first thought was have you washed them enough to prep them for maximum absorbency?

I don't add doublers and find they work well for my 2 year old. I've never had a problem with long drying time --they dry in one cycle on high heat along with all the other diapers.

and make sure the inner material is not poking out. I am thinking about adding a few to my stash.

Aha - the bum genius instructions did not say to prep them! I did wash my prefolds 3-4 times before using but I did not wash the bum genius more than once. Ok so good to know they will get more absorbant over time!! Also I dried them on medium (not even medium high)...did not think you could use high. That would likely be why it took so long. Ok thanks so much for clueing me in! :-)

If they are aplix, I would stick to medium heat, but if they are snaps, high heat is fine.
