Afraid to get excited b/c this baby is SO different, BUT

I started losing my plug this morning. I know this absolutely could mean nothing, but this has ALWAYS been the first sign of labor with my other 4 and I delivered within less than a day.

However, it's not bloody show/plug which is what I normally get in early labor so we'll see.

Heading to the midwife to give them my 24 hour pee pot and then shopping like nothing is going on. I figure if I go ahead and live life as normal and nothing happens, it won't be as disappointing! (Then when I get home, I'll get on major nesting mode so that the nest is in guest ready shape for when my dad comes to watch the kids! hehe)

SOMETHING is going on in there, though! :

I've got myself convinced now that it's nothing. However, I'm hoping it means something is going on inside, at least.

On the other hand, midwife is like 35-40 minutes away where I'm dropping the "pee pot" and then I'm going to walk around my favorite thrift shop for a while and maybe the mall so here's hoping if something IS starting, it won't come on too terribly quickly since it's just the toddler and I going!

Does this mean we can get excited for you then?

Good luck. I am excited for you even if you are trying to hold back on that particular emotion!!

PS every time I read Pee Pot, I start laughing, I just think of Winnie the Pooh holding his brown and yellow honey pot!

Nothing else going on except pressure and feeling very pukey feeling. Went shopping after my midwife appt. and as I was checking out, the cashier told me that we were under a tornado warning!!! I got in the van with the toddler and it was pouring rain so hard I could barely see and the trees and leaves were blowing really bad. We know no one up there and I honestly didn't know what to do. I called DH in tears and said maybe I should go back to the midwife, but he thought the mall might be safer b/c it was a larger structure, etc. (which I always heard the opposite since it's flat?). Well, it was raining so hard, I could barely see to drive and missed the midwife exit so we headed to the mall. I picked DD (4) up and ran as fast as I could in to Sears. I bet THAT was quite a site to behold!

A lady was sitting there at the door staring at the rain and I told her she might want to go in further since we were under a tornado warning. She had no idea and started calling people on her cell. DD and I were both soaked, but DD kept shivering so I took her to Old Navy and bought her a new (but cheap on sale ) outfit then put her under the dryer in the bathroom as I changed her.

We ended up walking around the mall for a couple of hours. I'm hoping it helped things and got him lower. The stress didn't help, though, I am sure, but I am feeling a lot of pain/pressure in my lower bum/tailbone area. No more show, though. A few contrax, but not enough to be anything.

I DO think things are starting, but for me, that could last days or weeks! I shouldn't have gotten so excited just from that one little thing this morning. *sigh* I've just never had any signs of anything other than prodomal labor this early before. We DO have more pressure systems coming in this week/weekend and the full moon Saturday so maybe those will help?

The mall probably has a basement, right? (most do) I'm pretty sure that, were a tornado to actually hit, they'd evacuate the mall into the basement... At least, I know that was the emergency protocol for both of the malls in Winnipeg.
Hoping things pick up for you and I'm glad you and DD are both okay.

I'm not sure! I've actually never thought about a basement in a mall before and wasn't really thinking when I went in either except it was the only place that I could think of to go.
