Can I fix my BG?

I got some BG 2.0 when ds was born- but the velcro just isn't sticking anymore- do I have any options to make these work again?

I haven't used them hardly at all in months, but that also has a lot to do with the fact ds will take off anything with velcro, and since these don't even stick as well as the others.... its just a mess waiting to happen. But we're having another baby this fall, so I'd like to have a few more diapers to use, and besides the vecro, these look to be in good shape.

TIA,

Have you contacted the company? They might be willing to replace the velcro for you.

Also, this is an unorthodox idea, but it's working for us. The velcro on our 2.0s is shot. It has been shot for months, and I have heard that this is very common with the BGs. What we did: we cut the leg part of a snappi off, so that there are just the two arms of the snappi. Then we use the snappi to hold the BG on. It does put little tiny holes in the PUL, but the holes are in the upper part of the wings of the diaper, where very little leaking is likely to happen. I cut off the leg part of the snappi so that there aren't holes being made in the front of the diaper like you'd get if you fastened that part of the snappi onto the diaper.

This only works if baby is going to be wearing clothes over the diaper, since it is technically possible for baby to pop the snappi off on his/her own. But it does let you get a few more months out of the BGs even when the velcro is no good.

I believe you can contact Cotton Babies for velcro replacements. I have 6 BG Organic AIOs that are close to needing the velcro replaced. I contacted Cotton Babies and they sent me all new velcro tabs. Now, if only I could sew.....!

Wow! That snappy solution is SO creative! I never would have thought of that.

I looked at the company website, but since I've had them more than a year, I didn't bother to contact them.

3Taureans- did they send instructions on how to replace them? I can sew, but I'm nervous about doing something wrong and ruining them.

BTW- I just went and looked at them again- and the velcro was full of lent, so I combed it out with a fine toothed comb and it looks like I can limp them along a bit longer- though I am still just amazed at how poorly their velcro held up compared to my other diapers.
