WEDNESDAY, May 6 (HealthDay News) -- President Barack Obama's administration is weighing whether to craft a fall vaccination campaign that could mean three flu shots for Americans, two of those aimed straight at the swine flu virus that has been circulating around the globe in recent weeks.

The Washington Post reported late Tuesday that this would mark the first time the government has asked its citizens to get more than one flu vaccine a year.

If this wasn't so disturbing I might be laughing.

And no one in my family will get them unless you force us at gunpoint.

It's a shame President Obama doesn't have time to do any real research on vaccines.

What upsets me most is knowing that, while I can protect myself and my children from these vaccines (with G-d only knows what toxic ingredients and questionable efficacy), my parents are going to run out and get whatever shots their doctors recomend.

See, I actually WAS laughing until I saw that you weren't!

I don't take health advice from "administrations" so I'm not too worried about it. It is, however, a shame that more people in general, and particularly those in positions to "recommend" as regards our health, don't do something to educate themselves... other than listening to Big pHARMa, that is.

Yay, three flu shots of full-dose thimerosal. That will certainly help the immune system.

Nothing like some swine flu to resuscitate the pharma economy for years to come.

Oh yes please, let me line up for a vaccine so new it isn't even MADE yet. That will be great. All to prevent a mild disease. Yum!!

Over my dead body.

Yep, somebody's going to be rich!

Sometimes I'm really thankful for my thimerosal allergy and vaccine-injury status (no more shots. ever.). I suppose I should be thankful for DS's new egg allergy, eh?

I've actually seen a couple of comments already on mainstream boards from people that do get the flu shot annually and who are very suspicious of this vaccine. Especially since people know about the swine flu vaccine that was available in the 70s and was proven to have killed and seriously injured people, people seem to be really questioning why they should take a vaccine that was developed in such a hurry for a disease that the media is now saying isn't that big of a deal.

Could actually be a good thing for the anti-vaccine cause...
