Name for Baby Girl! - Page 3

I vote Arden-very nice!

I can't get over Avalon being the name of a car. Sorry.

Ariel is pretty if you don't mind that it's kinda popular.

Avalon is pretty!

Definitely Arden. I've always liked that name ever since I read the E Nesbit book "House of Arden" as a little girl . It's a pretty name but also a very strong one.

Hee! I'll keep that in mind.

Definitely ARDEN! Unique and pretty. Possible nickname, Ari (adorable!)

Ariel, too "princess".
Avalon, too carlike, and in my opinion, masculine.

Best wishes!

Out of the choices you've given, I'd say Arden. The name is very unique.

Wildly enough, I have all the names of my children already picked out. Some are uncommon, others are not. For the boys, I've chosen Edward, sebastian, Branden, Duke, Johannes, and James. For the girls, I've chosen Mary-Beth, Sydelle, Savannah, Pollyanna, and Grace. My BF loved them, as we did choose them together. So, they are a definite go.

Arden
Avalon
Ariel

The princess thing ruined Ariel for me too.

Ariel!

They are all wonderful and have all been on my list for years. . I wouldn't prob actually USE Ariel bc of the Disney thing, but I think Arden and Avalon are both strong contenders, I like Arden a tiny bit more, but one thing to think of is also that names ending in 'den' are very popular right now (Jayden, Hayden, Braden, Aiden, Kaiden, ETC) if that matters to you.

Good point. Thank you.

definitely Avalon!!! so pretty!

Ariel is too Little Mermaid, and Arden just doesn't "do it" for me.

I like Avalon, even though it reminds me of Brian Ferry

Have you considered Audrey?

Not a fan of Audrey, but thank you! It's actually pretty popular among our particular group of friends, because of the whole actor thing. I have a friend with four daughters named Rosaline, Miranda, Audrey and Juliet.

Well, the Disney Ariel defied her parents, too.

Avalon is a Toyota. And a big, ol' boat to boot.

Ariel will ensure a lifetime of Little Mermaid stuff for birthday stuff.

Arden
Avalon
Ariel

would be my order of preference, but more like

Arden
Avalon

Ariel (the Disney movie franchise kills that name for me!)

Off subject?

Blucactus-
found you on another topic & tried to PM you, but inbox is full.

Hello, found you on a forum and wondering if you would offer some advice on natural birthing options in WNY. I have had 3 births in Millard Suburban and find that they want to stick you with IV's and strap you in a bed- they don't even want you to walk around. I would like to do a birthing chair or something like that, but Buffalo seems VERY behind and does not offer things like this (Or even try orgasmic birth??). This is number four and probably my last. Not sure if insurance will cover home birth (BC/BS) and don't want to subject myself or baby to danger... please advise!!

Thanks so much!

I like Ariel and Arden.

You could also spell it Arielle.
