* Avalon

Thanks y'all!

I like Avalon the best, what are the middle names? (I haven't read the whole thread if that has already been revealed then sorry!)

I like Arden best, followed by Ariel.

Didn't read all the replies yet, but traditionally (in Hebrew), Ariel is a boys name (a la Ariel Sharon). I always think of it as a boys name. But that may just be because I am Jewish and know men named Ariel and nn Ari, so the Little Mermaid isn't what comes up in my mind at all.

We were thinking of naming DS2 Ariel, but DS1 has an -iel name, so we went with something else.

Of the two remaining, I like Avalon. Arden makes me think of make-up .

I vote Arden but I am not crazy about Ariel. But take that with a grain of salt my DD is Fiona and no she was not named after an ogre.

I like Marlowe, too.

It's a nice name too!

I love the name Arden. It was on my sort list for dd who became Aubrey.

Arden. It is mysterious, natural, and beautiful. I went to school with a man named Ariel (he was hispanic) and he got so much crap because of the Little Mermaid.

OH. Just read the correction. Marlowe is a-ok with me!

Oh what a sweet name! Congratulations! I know a little girl named Marielle and they call her Mari (Mahri not Mary) which I think is very cute. Mari woudl be a cute nickname for Marlowe too.
