Make it stop!!! (Stretch marks...)

I didn't get stretch marks w/ DD at all, so they were a surprise this time. But now, underneath my belly button, I have a bunch. But I also have developed a WICKED rash/reaction or something. It's been there for about two weeks and it itches SO FREAKING BAD!! My MW even recommended using a dab of hydracortisone cream but I used it once and it didn't help at all.

Does anyone else have this? It looks awful (I think DH is scared of it ). Seriously...each stretch mark is all puffy...it looks like there are little worms burrowed underneath the first layer of my skin. Gross. And itchy. Itchy itchy itchy!! Any tips for making it go away? DH suggested Apple Cider Vinegar...I don't believe it will work (I don't know why not...it's worked on virtually every other skin condition I've had).

(whine, much? I have some nice raw cheese to go with it if anyone else wants to join)

Sorry mama! I don't know what to tell you about the itchiness. I have a bunch of little stretch marks on the underside of my belly, but they aren't puffy and don't itch. I do use Burt's Bees Mama Bee Belly Butter (or something along those lines... it's made by Burt's Bees and it's for pregnant/postpartum bellies!) and I haven't experienced any itching. That might help??

I've been using aquaphor and cocoa butter on my belly like 3-4x per day (and that was before the stretch marks showed up.
And want to hear something really silly...I'm terrified (as in, it keeps me up at night) that if I needed an emergency c-section for some reason, that those bumps are going to cause some kind of crazy post-surgery infection.

Just here to sympathize. Sorry mama. I don't have any new ones thankfully but the old ones from my dd look like someone clawed their way around my hips and up to my navel. Its very amusing.

Sounds like it could be PUPPP?

http://www.tcinternet.net/users/krit...aomi/PUPPP.htm (lots of itch relief info here)

There are alot of threads here about it on MDC if you search PUPPP.

Edit: Sorry to DDC crash. Good luck!

Do you have Bio Oil in the US? That is supposed to be good for fading and settling stretch marks.
