Change in feeding around 6 months?

I saw the low supply thread above, but not sure if this is a supply issue quite yet or if it's a normal change around this age? My DS is almost 6 months old, around 22 pounds, not quite sure how tall (he was 26 in. at 4 month appt.) and exclusively BF w. no solids introduced yet.

The past two weeks he has started needing both breasts for our evening feedings. This hasn't happened since he was a week or two old, otherwise he has been content with one side for about 7 min. and that's it. I also pump on occasion (he gets a bottle about once every week or so) and noticed that my supply is lower (used to be able to easily get 4 oz. from one side, the past two times I really had to work at getting 2-3 with multiple pumping sessions).

Anyways, I'm not sure if this is something that happens around 6 months or if this is a supply issue? I don't want to stress myself out too much about it if it's normal, but I also don't want to ignore it and end up with a hungry baby or diminishing supply.

Pumping output is not a good indication of supply. My guess would be growth spurt?

Yeah, it's funny b/c I know that about pumping, but yet my emotions are getting in the way of logic! I wasn't sure if there was a 6 month growth spurt or not. With all the past growth spurts he would eat more often, but would never need both sides, so it's a totally different experience for me right now and I don't want to assume growth spurt if that's not what it is. Would it be lasting 2 weeks?
