Who is hoping to get sprinkled with moon dust this weekend? - Page 2

Ooh, I didn't know to look at that. We conceived the day before the full moon, wonder how that will work out.

I am going to make my husband come to the beach with me every night starting tonight! (I'm figuring the moon and the tides aught to do SOMETHING!) I had my membrane sweep yesterday, and aside from losing my mucous plug this morning, I'm just having practically constant BH's but no real labor. Alas, so I am hoping for the moon to carry me through!! My mom is coming tomorrow night so I am super : . Hopefully my baby will be here soon!!

Oh Catters...maybe your body will get an idea from the waves. I know that's one of my visualizing things with the contractions...coming in like waves and going back out like waves. Hey, whatever works, right?

I think a beach birth would be awesome, but I am guessing that probably wouldn't be allowed!

a beach birth would be nice but a little too sandy for my taste. If they could set it up so I could be looking at the ocean with none of the sand in sensitive areas I'd be all for it...

A beautiful full moon, the beach and the sound of the water...That really does sound nice, sand or not.

May 10th has been my guess since the very beginning. I labored under the full moon with Allie too! So I'm hopeful. I've been feeling lately that things are moving along, and this morning I think I lost (part of?) my plug. I was in labor just a couple days after losing my plug last time, too.

I was thinking about you... Still waiting too... Hopefully, I don't see you on Tuesday. At least one of us should have this baby on the week-end.

You probably won't see me on Tues either way, I have a MW apt at 10:30 I think. So if I don't have the baby this weekend then I'll be busy at my apt! Here's hoping though. I'm headed out for a walk after DD gets up from her nap, a nice long one. Hopefully that will get baby a little lower (though frankly it already feels like it's sitting RIGHT on my cervix and pushing away!) and maybe get things moving along. Driving has been causing major contractions, but as soon as I get out of the car they let up. Maybe I should drive to Edmonton and back....

Same here!!

Last night our cats escaped out our patio door and we were running around outside for an hour chasing and searching for cats. While it wasn't completely a full moon, maybe it qualifies as 'dancing' under a full moon.
I'm sort of feeling baby vibes for this weekend, but maybe its not intuition and more like wishful thinking?

I just checked the moon phases for 2008 and we totally conceived this baby *right* at the full moon in August. So fingers crossed for this weekend for me! My official due date is today, but the 11th has always stood out to me for some reason. However I would be totally psyched to have this baby this weekend. I've been having crampy contractions off and on during the days for a few days now, but last night after DH and I DTD I continued to have contractions all night long (a first! They have always gone away when I lie down before now!). I'm hoping that's a good sign!

oooh! I'm really thinking we're going to get some babies this weekend! :

Exciting!

I have the same due date you do, and I'm feeling the same way. I think it's because yesterday was the last major hurdle we had to get over before I felt we could let this baby come (my DH's final in his last class for his Master's degree; he still has a thesis to write but that's more open-ended). I've been telling the baby that she/he should try to wait until after that. My husband has a feeling about this weekend, but I think that's probably wishful thinking and don't expect this baby for at least another week. On the other hand, my midwife said yesterday that the head is quite low and that she'd see me next Wednesday "if not before", so who knows. I know I don't have much time left either way! I got some cramping this morning that was severe enough I couldn't really walk, but I laid down and it subsided. No other real pre-labor signs here that I've noticed.

I'd almost feel a little guilty if my baby came this weekend at 37w4-6d when we have so many wonderful mamas around here who are already due or overdue. Maybe we can all have our babies this weekend... :

Please, please, please, pick me :

I am 41 +3 today. I've been losing my mucous plug for the past 3 days (they also stripped my membranes Wed and Friday.) Too many neighbors for dancing naked, but I will get out there under the moon!

Yeah nolansmum, it's totally your turn.

Note to the Moon Goddess: it's nolansmum's turn!

I think that would be so much fun to dance naked under the full moon....if I was invisible! haha

Since a few days ago, I have been 3cm dilated but only 50-60% effaced. Baby was at -2 station but seems like maybe he has moved down a bit more. I am not sure why he isn't moving down. I have been having blood tinged snotty mucous for the last 4 days. It would be nice if my waters would just break!

Someone on another board said the full moon was last night, not tonight like I thought it was. Hope more people got hit with it than we see right now. I know I certainly wasn't one of them!

The full moon is on the 9th. That's tonight, right? Yes, I just checked. It's tonight. We're still good to go!

Yes, it is. Hmmm...I have no idea. Still not counting on it effecting me, though!

Maybe sex under the full moon outside would do it?!
I scrolled over the 9th here, http://stardate.org/nightsky/moon/, and it said Full Moon. Though, is it going from the 8th to the 9th or is it the 9th the 10th I am not sure.

Looks like the night of the 9th to the 10th here:
