Granola recipes?

So, I know that making granola has got to be super simple. And I'm pretty darn sure I have all the ingredients lying around my house... I just don't know how to put them together. And I really need to figure this out cause I *LOVE* Granola & yogurt in the morning, as does DS... and its just way too expensive at $3.50+ a box!!! So... who has a yummy granola recipe or two??

I've made this one twice in the last week:

Golden Granola
2 c rolled oats, toasted
2 c mixed raw nuts/seeds (I use 1 c nuts, 1 c seeds)
1/4 c sesame seeds
1 c unsweetened shredded coconut
1/2 c maple syrup
1/4 c CO, melted

Mix it all together, spread evenly in a parchment lined pan, bake at 250 for an hour, stir gently, and bake another hour. Let it cool without stirring.

I love to stir in chopped candied ginger after it's cooled. But any dry fruit in bite-sized pieces will work.

I make this recipe every baking day, it lasts a week in our house.

Our favorite granola:

Preheat oven to 250.

Combine in large mixing bowl:

2 c. whole wheat flour
6 c. rolled oats
1 c. coconut
1 c. wheat germ (or 2/3 c. whole wheat flour, if you keep forgetting to buy wheat germ like I do!)
8 oz. slivered almonds
12 oz. dried fruit (I like craisins, dried blueberries, and dried cherries.)

Blend together separately:

1/2 c. water
1 c. oil
1 c. honey
2 t. vanilla
1 T. salt

Add blended liquid to dry ingredients and mix thoroughly.

Spread out on rimmed cookie sheet and bake 1 1/2 - 2 hours, stirring halfway through, until golden (for chewy; longer if that’s your preference.)

Store in covered containers (but I bet it won’t last long!)

Here's mine:

Millet Crunch Granola
This healthy granola makes a great topping for fruit or yogurt. You can even eat it alone for a crunchy snack.

2 1/4 cups rolled oats
1/2 cup uncooked millet
1/3 cup honey, brown rice syrup, agave nectar, or maple syrup
1/4 cup tahini
2 tablespoons water
1/3 cup pumpkin seeds
1/3 cup sunflower seeds
1 tablespoon flaxseeds
1 tablespoon sesame seeds

Preheat oven to 250ÂşF. Place rolled oats and millet on baking sheet. Roast for 1 hour. In small pan, melt sweetener, tahini, and water together over low heat. In large bowl, toss oats, millet, and seeds with tahini mixture until completely coated. Spread on unoiled baking sheet, and bake for 30 minutes. Stir once or twice during baking. Cool completely. Store in airtight container.

Makes 8 servings

Variation: Add 1/2 to 1 cup dried fruit to cooked granola and store as directed. Do not bake fruit.
