Baby keeping anyone up tonight

A next night up....DD have been getting up at 1am for days now. It would be for 1 - 2 hours but last night it was for 4!! I really up that isn't the case tonight. My eyes are burning from lack of sleep. She is different than DS, at least w/ him I could just sit while he was awake. DD wants to be moving so for those hours I am up I am mostly on the bouncing ball (hurts my back though), walking her, having her on my lab while moving it, ect....

How does she sleep during the day? Any long periods? My guy takes shorter naps during the day (the longest being about 2 hours... he may sleep longer if I'm driving and running errands) and then sleeps 2 long stretches at night. Usually 8pm-12am (mind you after about 1-3 hours of "fussy" time, smack dab during cooking & dinner time) and then he'll wake at 4-4:30am for his next feeding. That's where I drop the ball. If I stayed awake to give him a full feeding (which I usually don't, because I'm so sleepy myself) he'd probably go back down until 7-8am. But I fall asleep halfway through the feeding and we wake up at 6-6:30 to feed some more. Sometimes he'll be up for an hour or two and then goes back down for a sleep.

So sorry your babe is up needing to be "rocked" at 1 am! I hadn't thought about using the bouncing ball.... Parker likes to move, but DH is reluctant to dance around with him (I think he's embarrassed!) maybe he'd do that instead! LOL

If your little girl takes long naps during the day - I would try waking her to feed and try to get her to start transitioning to take her longer naps at night.

She sleeps around 2 hours straight both day and night. I am trying to think if she sleeps longer than 2hours w/o nursing, not sure. It is her sleeping pattern that is a little crazy. She usually goes down around 7/8pm- 9/10pm then again around 11pm-1am. Depending on her mood she can stay up from 1-4 hours during those times is when the walking and bouncing is done. Then she goes sleep around 5am-10/11am (not straight, she just gets up nurse and falls back asleep). I think she has about two wide awake sessions(where she is her demanding self) before 7pm again.

I hoping it change soon. As DS wakes around 7am, sometimes he will just stay on the couch w/ me until 9am before he wants to eat or play. I have been feeding DS later because I am too tired to get up. Good thing we have bananas out so he gets one each morning before I can feed him breakfast.

I also work from home so sometimes I am glad for her morning sleep where I can do stuff around the house. This is just part of the deal for babyhood. DS use to be just sastified w/ me holding him when he was awake though.

Doh! The idea of the bouncy ball is GREAT! I have to try that. I've been up each night too- DS cried for 30 min to 2 hours at a time consistently sometime between 3 and 6 am or so. Then he usually wakes up at 7am. As luck shoul have it, my toddler seems to think the moment I get the LO settled is a great time to wake up.

The LO sleeps all day pretty much, unfortunately not doing me much good because the toddler is up all day and no longer naps. :-(
