I have a 6-year-old with severe developmental delays. She is not potty trained, nor is she likely to be in the foreseeable future. The Good Nites we've been putting her in cost $30 a week and I really want to put her in cloth, but I'm not sure how to do it. Does anyone here CD an older child? The little research I've done has shown me some options, but so far they are incredibly expensive compared with baby diapers, and I'm not sure why. I'm thinking of trying to make my own or having a WAHM custom-make some for me - but in that case I need some advice on what type to make. In the past I've tried pocket dipes with polyester fleece lining but I hated them - they got stinky and no matter what I tried I could not get them fresh smelling again, and I'd much rather use natural fibers anyway.
