My positive bf'ing in public stories

Just wanted to share:

At the dr office(today) when I was in the room waiting a nurse walked in(the door was wide open) sayng she just needed to wash her hands then she looked at me feeding the baby and without a second thought says, "thats beautiful". I agreed with her.

At Target(today) after pic taking was over I took miss fussy from my sister saying I had to feed her and went to sit in a chair. The photo lady said, " I have a private room if you want" I said I was fine right there so long as she was. She said "sure" and went back to talking about the pics with my sister.
I had only made sure she was okay with it cause she had her young daughter there with her.

Funny one about my niece on Christmas I forgot about.
After being at her house for 1/2 hour or so Angel started to get hungry so I took her from SIL and started to feed her at the couch. My niece who is 6 went over to my 11yo nephew and whispered in his ear, "the babies sucking on her tit".
Guess she's never seen anyone bf before.

I had a good experience at Walmart to when Angelica was 2 days old. I was sitting there looking at the pics on the screen and the photograher just walked up to me and put her arm on my shoulder(i've been there a few times) and looked down at Angelica with a smile.

This is kind of a funny one. I was visiting friends who have two younger children. The little girl, Taylar, who was 5 at the time was looking on quite curiously as I nursed Jacob. She asked "What is he doing?". I replied that he was drinking his milk. She asked "Is he getting it out of your arm?" . I looked to her mother for help, but she was just grinning at me. So, I plunged in and said "No, he's getting it from my breast". So, she whipped up her own t-shirt, looked down at her nipples ans said "Well, can I feed him too?" :LOL

That is so cute.

My 2 1/2 yo for awhile kept sayin "baby bite" when he would see me feed her. Now because he can see my belly when I feed her he likes us to cuddle with our bellies touching. We have to lift up the shirts too for skin contact.
A couple of times i noticed his mouth on my arm and thought he was gonna bite me but it occured to me the other day that he was probaly doing that cause he sees Angel's mouth on me.

I have a good one. We were in Walmart in Brookings, SD. We were checking out and I asked the cashier where the bathroom was. They assumed I wanted to breastfeed my baby, and told me that the bathroom in the back had a chair and a comfortable place to nurse. That wasn't why I'd asked, but it was nice for someone to assume that I was breastfeeding, for a change.

I caused a positive NIP story for someone earlier this year.

My DH, DD and I were out for dinner one night and I noticed another family with three children, one of whom was an infant. I saw the mom "assume the position" and drape a receiving blanket over her shoulder, so I knew what she was doing although I doubt anyone else even gave her a second look. When we finished they were still at their table and while DH and DD walked on out I stopped and asked her gently if she was nursing earlier. She looked up at me with these huge eyes and a look on her face like "OmiGod...now what?!?" I smiled at her and thanked her for nursing her baby when the baby needed it and to not feel the need to hide away. Immediately she sighed in relief...I guess that I wasn't going to start lecturing her. :LOL I continued that I had nursed my DD and it was so wonderful to me to see other mamas enjoying that relationship in a matter-of-fact fashion out in the world, so to speak, as well.

Then, something unexpected happened! I started to tear up! Then *she* started to tear up. I laughed and thanked her again and went off to find my DD for a big hug.

That'a a nice story Doni.

Today at a birthday party/ Pats game gathering when I could not find a private place(which I did want cause there were so many people and so much noise) I went back in the kitchen and sat my butt where it had been before(right at the entrance) . My friend asked if I wanted a blanket and I said," no thanks, I'm not shy"
I nursed her 3 times in the kitchen for all who looked my way to see.
A lot of times when at peoples houses I prefer the time to get away from everyone to feed her but I would never let people sitting around the room stop me if I had no where else to go.
