Ciggarette Science projects!

This is hilarious. I picked up a science experiment book from my moms shelf the other day and brought it home with me. I havent had a chance to look at it but my 6 yr old has. He kept saying "Cigarette!" "cigarette experiment!" and I was distracted so I was like "ok whatever"

I just looked at the book, and sure enough, there is at least one experiment involving the fascination with tying a cigarette in half.

OMG!

Its from Discovery toys in 1964. In case you want one.

I told him maybe we can get a cigarette from his Uncle to try it. Ummm...sometimes unschooling sucks.

I wonder if the experiment would work with a tampon instead.

Ah, the 60s.

I have the same book! I wondered if it was the same one, because I remember being amused by the cigarette experiments, so I looked it up

They also have some involving cigarette and cigar boxes.

This thread wasn't what I thought it would be. In 3rd grade I actually did my school science experiment using cigarettes, comparing how "dirty" the gauze at the top was when I burned different brands in a soda bottle.
