Could it really be my turn???

So I had the membrane sweep on Tuesday and I was dilated to 3, soft, but long. Alot of crampiness and contractions that night, but they all petered out by about 2 am. I had more contractions Wednesday morning and REALLY started to lose the mucous plug. I thought I lost it before, but no! More and more stuff came out last night and this morning, all blood tinged. (Probably TMI, but oh well.) This morning I awoke to a contraction and they've been happening all day. Some worse than others, some closer together than others. I walked some stairs and then on the treadmill. They really hit hard on the treadmill. I took a shower and they slowed down, but they're definitely still around and my whole core feels like it's in a permanent cramp.

What do I do now? Rest because this is it and I'll need the energy later?

Or, keep walking to make sure things don't stop?

I'm already 8 days late and racing against the VBAC clock. (Stupid clock!)

It sounds real to mee!

As long as you have the energy now, focus and concentrate on each contraction as they come.

Sorry about that darn clock! It sure aint friendly.

Just remember that No clocks exist in labor land!

Continue to concentrate on each contraction.

See, this is what you get for starting your user name with "X" - it's the end of the alphabet/end of the DDC curse! J/K

I hope this is it for you... crossing fingers and hoping you're holding your little one by tonight!

Fingers crossed!!!!! I say do what brings on more ctx, do chores or relax, but remember that you have a lot of work to do in a while so dont wear yourself out!!!

I'll echo others: Keep up the walking, etc. but don't completely wear yourself out! Eat & drink plenty and be sure to relax some.
Here is a labor-inducing acupressure video:

Sorry you're having to feel the pressure of the clock.

I hate waiting for the ending for things, so baby girl and I are doing fine!

Sorry I fell off the face of the earth a little bit.

Things didn't go as hoped for. I didn't have a VBAC, I did end up with a C. I didn't realize how upset I'd be by the whole thing. The recovery has been really bad. It's been taking all my energy to recover, take care of a 2 year old and a newborn. Please realize how lucky all of you are who had a vaginal birth. Lucky for me, I have a lot of family around to help out.

So, baby was born on Friday 5/8, 9 lbs, 9 oz, 21 inches long. And we named her Genevieve Joyce. She is, of course, beautiful! But, seriously, she has just the sweetest face. She's been easier than my 1st and she's been sleeping in 4 hour stretches through the night which I am infinitely grateful for.

Maybe a year from now or so when I've started to cope with the whole thing I'll write her birth story. I know I won't be on here much, but thank you everyone for your support during the infinite waiting period and for thinking about me. You guys are the best!

Xercella, so happy to hear you and the baby are ok. And very sorry that things did not go as planned and that the recovery has not been as easy as it could be.

Still, congratulations and welcome Genevieve!
