I'd LOVE to have a grommet press but, wow, are they expensive and the dies are extra, too. I love that it can be used for snaps, too though, is that right? I just don't know if I'd use it enough to justify the cost. I'd like to make some neat outdoorsy things like tents, backpacks, pouches of all types with grommets. Can I just get one of the hand-hammer setters? I realize I'd be stuck with one size grommet but they are only about $20 vs. over $100.
Any recommendations, advice? Thank you!!
eta: Can anyone recommend a large hole hammer-type setter? The largest I've found is 1/2" and for tents and such I think I'll need something bigger.
