Beta question

I had a repeat beta drawn yesterday at 19 DPO. I called today for result and the nurse said the lab did a qualitative instead of a QUANTITATIVE so my result was "positive." Lab will re-run test with existing sample and I can get result tomorrow.

My question is: Will using a day old sample affect the results? I know hCG in urine decreases the longer it sits out. Is blood the same? Can I trust the result?

You know, I am not sure. Are they waiting to do the test until tomorrow? I don't imagine that a couple of hours will make much of a difference.
