...that bathing your pet with flea shampoo after applying Frontline, K9Advantix, or Advantage, it will STRIP ALL OF THE PROTECTION OFF.

Bathing your dog with Flea Shampoo after applying any topspot is actually pretty dangerous. You are mixing chemicals and risking a life threatening reaction.

OP, I am sure your dog is fine, but this is just a warning to anyone else who doesn't know. If you apply a topspot, make sure any other flea products you use are from the same brand and are compatible so you don't risk any bad reactions.

Yep. I always have to watch what day I apply it since one of my dogs gets weekly baths!

A similar thing apparently happens if you apply it shortly AFTER a bath. Something about not enough oils on the skin to distribute it?

yeah, if you choose to do the flea shampoo you can only do it once and then wait a while (I forget how long) before you do it again - it can be toxic for the doggie, nevermind the fact that it doesn't work! (we had fleas a couple of years ago and the vet rx stuff was the BEST!!)
