Does anyone know of this show? Have you watched it?

Do you thinks its appropriate for older elementary school children?

DD who is 7 watches it occasionally. I think its okay. There seems to be a lot of mean spirited things going on between a couple of characters(I don't know the name). I personally don't like it, no reason why really just annoys me. But overall its okay not great.

My 9 year old watches it sometimes and seems to generally like it. We had rented the original ones from the library last year and although she likes those, she likes the new Electric Co. better.

Yes, my 7 yo watches it. I think the target age is probably younger than "older elementary school."

My kids love to watch the original series from the 70s on DVD. We haven't seen the newer version yet.

i havent seen it but it seems like older kids stuff.

my 6 year old really enjoys it and watches the episodes on the pbs site.

she kinda picks up on some of the sarcasm.

Oh, I thought you meant older elementary school aged as in 6th/7th grade!

I think the target age is 6-10, intended to appeal to kids attracted to more mature material who still need help with reading skills.

oh i totally meant 6th 7th grade. i mean the little bit of joking that i saw seemed meant for older kids. maybe those clips were not a true representation of what the whole series is like.

I borrowed the older episodes from our library and my kids hated them. They thought it was so dull and boring. DH and I loved seeing Morgan Freeman, and we even remembered watching some of the episodes from when we were kids.

That being said, my kids like the newer episodes.

I loved the original as a kid. My 6-yo likes the new version. The 3.5-yo likes to dance to the music but the dialogue loses her interest pretty fast. Personally, I think it's incredibly annoying, but it's not targeted for me and I don't find anything inappropriate in it for my son.
