Homebirthers.. What are you wearing???

I am looking at a dress or skirt type thing to wear, but am not sure where to look. I went to Old Navy, but everything they have is online only and I really like to feel it and try it on before I buy it! I'm wondering if I should look at Motherhood or just go to Old Navy and see what they have in the store. What are the rest of you doing?

I don't think I'll be wearing much. Maybe a T-shirt or I'll toss my bathrobe on, but I've just warned everyone who might be coming that there'll be nudity as things progress.

Early on I'll probably wear some lounge pants and a t-shirt. Then I'll strip down to nothing at some point.

I started with a big t-shirt each time and whipped it off by the end. So nakey for me, no special clothes.

Didn't wear anything with DD1...maybe a tank top this time because I'd like some photos I can share comfortably, but that will most likely come off at some point too

Um, whatever I happen to be wearing when labour starts and most likely nothing at all shortly after I start having to groan through contractions. I can't imagine labouring with clothes on. All the more reason to birth at home.

I thought about that, so I may keep a bra on like I did last time. I'd like to be able to show pictures to friends and family without flashing my boobs

I just wear whatever I happen to be wearing when I go into labour and by the time I give birth, I am usually wearing my bra because I can't stand the feel of skin against skin, so I never get completely naked.

Still not sure. I'm having some discomfort around my navel that I think is worse when fabric is on it. I don't have any bras though, I just wear tanks. Probably the t-shirt/lounge pants until I get into the tub and then naked there on out.

Not birthing at home (in a freestanding birth center though) but I wore a large button down shirt after I got out of the tub with my first babe. Its what our mw's reccomend.

With my second I ended up wearing just the tank top I had on when I got there, (I labored with comfy pants on till just before transition.) which came off after she was born so I could nurse.

I was kinda thinking that I'd rather be naked, but I think DH wants to video some of the early stuff, so for the sake of whoever watches it I thought clothes would be helpful! The dress I was looking at is only $24 so maybe I'll get it now and see what I think. I was just thinking if my water breaks and I leak, I don't want pants/shorts of any type on! I guess I'll talk to DH and see if he's for sure videoing or just taking digital pics. Those at least can be edited!

Probably whatever I'm already wearing, early on - though if I'm in pants and it's a warm enough day I might switch to a soft dress for addes comfort - then, if it's like last time, naked in hard labour. I stripped off without even being conscious of it last time. And I do plan to be in the tub this time, and I can't imagine I'd be comfortable with a bra or tank top or swimsuit top in the tub - clothes can definitely be irritants for me.

Probably a sports bra. During my last labor I liked to caress my belly during a contraction. Plus I like the support of a bra--hate the feed bags resting on the belly!!!

I plan to wear some lounge capris w/a tank top & sports/nursing bra for early labor, but will strip down to just the bra when I get in the water, and may not even keep that on the whole time.

I have a really nice pair of nursing pjs to wear afterward too.

I ended up being transferred to the hospital at the last second and had to be in a gown, but I got a high-waisted dress off the clearance rack at Target. It was really soft, comfy, had a neckline I could nurse from and was super cheap so I didn't care if it got messed up.

I ended up mostly nude by delivery though.
