heartbeat at 6week ultrasound?

Hi there,

I have an early u/s scheduled for this afternoon. A previous u/s and bloodwork put me at about 6 weeks.

Due to previous health issues, I'm nervous about this pregnancy, and that baby is OK.

should I be hopeful/optimistic that the technician will be able to find a heartbeat? I certainly would put some of my worries to rest.

Does anyone have any experience with this?

IME, six weeks is too early. They might see a heartbeat... but they might also not.

I went in yesterday, saying I was 7 weeks, and we saw a heartbeat. Then they dated me at 6 weeks, 1 day. I didn't see much else besides the heartbeat though.

I have seen it around that time, but then I have also had one near that time and not seen it. So, I guess it may depend on the baby.
