Demerara Sugar

My lovely husband went shopping for me and got a 1 kg bag of demerara sugar for me - mistaking it for the brown sugar I buy for baking - argh! What can I do with it - is it to "crunchy" for baking? We don't drink coffee and I think that is what a lot of people use if for.
