Silly post: How does your LO dance?

I laugh everytime DS (18 mo) dances. Whenever music comes on he smiles, rocks back and forth from one leg to the next and swings his big head all over the place. His cousin (22 mo) was here last week and he jumps up and down to music.
So, how does your LO get down?

My DS is a bum shaker. He wiggles his hips and shakes his bum as fast as he can. DD is an arm flapper/spinner. She looks like she is trying to take off! I love watching them dance!

As a toddler, DS was a bum shaker. Now at 5 his moves are varied. He's bouncy by nature, so there are a lot of bounces in his routines. He also loves the robot and has ben trying to breakdance a lot lately

He tells me he might be a dancer when he grows up! Or a scientist. Or maybe both.

My son's 2 and he mostly just nods his head to music (often it's a little more like headbanging!). He'll also clap and swing his arms around.
Yay, a fun thread! Hehe.

My DD spins around in a circle and does a hop from one foot to another. It really is cute.

ooh thank you for this. what a nostalgic moment for me as my LO is now almost 7. woah!!! how time flies.

her passion which showed up early still continues to be the performing arts.

what is that bird that bobs around? the pigeon? or is it a river/water bird? cant remember teh name.

my dd was a bobber in the beginning. she could pull herself up at 8 months before she had fully figured out crawling. by 10 months she was disgusted waiting for us to put on the music and had figured out how to press play on the cd player.

so she would hold on to the edge of the table, get balanced and bob vigorously. and with her hands do the whole john travolta movement. finger pointing. man she bobbed soooo fast.

awwwwww. the picture sooo lives in my heart.

when she had to sit down. she would stop. slightly bend her knees. poise still for a moment. and flop on her bottom.

awwww!!!!

DS is 12 months old. He'll be holding onto the table, hear some music, look at me and smile, then start bouncing up and down. So cute!

Runs back and forth, jumps, will sometimes mimic dance moves if I show him.

One of the best things ever is when he says, "Take my hand and dance with me, Mommy!" Well of course, baby! Always.

My 18 mo old will bop up and down, sway side to side, or wave his arms in the air.

my ds is 19months. the best i can explain his dancing is that he runs in place on his tiptoes. adorable, lol. he also claps and spins around in circles too

Hunter moves all over. He's 22 months and he'll do a skip thing, and then wiggles his bum and does the salt shaker with his hands. Then he'll clap and go "yaaaaaaaaay".

As a baby she was a bum shaker and then she went through a phase where she would hold the edge of the table and do very fast squats all the while making sure I was looking at her.

Now her dancing is jumping around or shaking from side to side.

However she dances it's very cute to me.

DS is 16 months and right now he stomps his feet or swings his arms back and forth. It crack me up every time.

DS bends at the knees, sort of between bobbing and squating. Or he takes my hands and "asks" me to sing "Ring around the rosy" - he usually sits down way too early in the rhyme.
DS mostly just flaps his arms and kicks his feet on the the ground with the biggest grin on his face you've ever seen. He loves music.

DS used to jump when he was younger. Now he has different movements depending on the rhythm: jumping, running, spinning.
DD bounces and shakes her bum.
