OK, so I've been battling a few issues lately, and I'm getting so sick and tired of my BG, which I think are the source of all my woes.
We started out with the ammonia stink, which started from the BG inserts. That spread to the rest of the dipes. I stripped, tried using Tide, but that gave my son a rash. We got the rash kind of cleared up (went back to Biokleen, which we used originally)... but last week we came to CA for a 3 week vacation, and I put him in sposies for the plane ride.
Well, the rash started getting worse... and even in sposies, the rash was bad. We tried desitin, weleda cream, etc. but it didn't work. Finally, GSE did the trick.
After a few days, I was desperate to go back to CD, and he was fine in his prefolds and FB.... but at night, when I put him in his BG, the rash totally came back.
Has anyone else had this problem? Is it my detergent reacting with the BG? Is it the unnatural fibers? He doesn't have this problem with FB.
At this point, with all the detergents and dipes we've tried, my DH is starting to complain that CD is more expensive than sposies, and he wants out. I want to keep going... but it is getting frustrating.
