So this pregnancy has been no fun. Severe, long lasting morning sickness, daily migraines, pelivc pain...

but here I am 3 weeks from my due date with the symptom that bothers me the worst. Woke up this monring looking like I've gained 2olbs in my face only. lol

For some reason all the other changes don't bother me, but looking at my puffy face has me in tears. I don't want to see anyone until this baby is out.

Anyone else?

I haven't noticed this so much in my face, but my hands are puffy, and my normally cute feet are SO not cute!! It's gotten worse the past week I think. And to top it off, I bought some great flip flops that I've been wearing, despite my feet puffing out over the straps. Sexy.

Is it swollen, or just puffy? I think this is one of the symptoms my dr wanted me to call her about, if you have sudden swelling in your face.

If it's just puffy, this is a good excuse for you to settle down with a nice cold drink and put some cucumbers on your eyes and chill out for a bit.

If it makes you feel any better, I woke up today with a giant acne cyst on the side of my face. : And a big pimple that burst next to my lip so it looks like a cold sore.

Oh my goodness! I feel your pain! I'm just one of those women who shows weight gain really badly in my face...it was bad w/ DD because of water retention and it's every bit as bad this time (I think anyway). It was so bad by the time I had DD that I actually looked more like my dh's brother (who has the puffy face of an alcoholic) than I did like myself. No one will EVER see those delivery pictures of me and DD thanks to that fact.

Puffy face can be a sign of pre-eclampsia (sudden puffy face, not the above mentioned all-the-way-through puffy face). Get checked out.

That's true. With DD I *did* have pre-e, but the puffy face predated the pre-e by several weeks. Still, getting checked out wouldn't be a bad idea.

I notice for me, if I have wheat I get puffy in my hands, feet and under my eyes (I have a gluten sensitivity). Enough that some people will comment that I look puffy.

My face has held out better this time than with ds (where I actually had JOWLS, it was fairly revolting) but I've seen a definite change in the past several days. I can keep all the swelling to acceptable levels (comfortwise, at least) if I lie down in the afternoon, so I'm not concerned about it, but I've definitely reached the point of passing the mirror and saying "ewwwwwww" instead of grinning and patting my belly.
