How do you measure for rise?

I know this is such a simple thing to do, but right now, I can't seem to wrap my brain around it.

take a tape measurer and measrure from just under or at the belly button (wherever you prefer the diaper , between the legs and back up to above the butt/lower back again wherever the diaper should be for your kiddo. all at the same time here so it should be like a u from belly button through legs to lower back . easy peasy i add an inch to give my guy a little more room to grow , but you don' t have to .
