Why not just get a few of each? I have found that having a variety of different types of diapers is much better than having all one type. Each diaper winds up working best at different stages of baby's growth and in different situations from day to day.

I am no big fan of pocket diapers in general-- prefolds or some nice fitteds, with separate covers, wear better, contain messes better, and are easier to keep clean. But if I absolutely had to use pockets, I like the Fuzzi Bunz better. All of the Bum Genius diapers I had were not durable, but the Fuzzi Bunz seem to wear forever. I have mediums that have been washed at least four times a week for more than four years, without any break, and they still work great and look great. My BG lasted barely eight months.

I have noticed Fuzzi Bunz are really durable. A friend of mine showed me some she had from way back when they only came in white and had rounded tabs and the snaps looked different too. They still worked elastic and all! Wow.

I am using FB for the first time with my DD. The small size is supposed to fit at 7lbs, but was really big on DD at birth even though she was 7.5 lbs. They didn't actually fit until she was closer to 10 lbs, so I wish we had gotten a few XS. I love that they fit slim and wash well, but we do have some trouble with leaking urine on occasion. Haven't figured out whey as they do seem to fit snug around the legs?

Fuzzi Bunz benefits- washing is easier, no dealing with velcro and you don't have to pull out the insert to wash.

drawbacks- having to prepare diapers for washing by taking out the insert and fastening the velcro correctly. fleece seems to stain more easily than FB fleece

Both fit similarly and feel similar. The bg has a slightly thicker fleece liner. And YES, BG fits all the sizes because of strategically placed snaps.

This is exactly what I was going to say.

We use both and I like both, but like FB more. They are cuter, trimmer and easier for washing/drying. DH likes BG more because they are easier and faster for him. Get both like we did, I couldn't decide between the two

also agree.... my BG are only 1.5 months old and the velcro is already starting to fray!

We use BG at night with two inserts ( both that it came with) they seem to work better at night than the FB. I like the FB for during the day or when we are out and about and he is wearing a cute outfit because it's not as bulky as the BG
