storing large amounts of flour

what is a good container to hold 50lbs of flour? i was hoping to find something not plastic, but i am not sure if any such thing exists.

Before I started grinding my own, I kept it in 5 gallon pails, lined with a "pillowcase" that I made to fit it.
This way its sealed well, and it does not touch plastic.

How do you get it? I get mine in a thick paper bag (it is several layers thick). I just keep it in that in the chest freezer. I keep it in a plastic container in smaller amts in my fridge. You could just keep it in smaller amts in a glass container in your fridge.

i don't have a freezer yet. that may not be coming for awhile.

I would only keep it in the freezer. If that is not possible I keep it in 1 gallon glass pickle jars.

Great idea!

Ultimately, unless you are going through it very quickly, the best option would be to get a grain mill and buy wheat berries instead since they don't go rancid like flour does.
