DD1 just spent the last hour crying in her room...she pooped in her panties and this is the 3rd time since DD2 has been born that she's done this. She is 4 and has been potty learned since a bit over 3. So this is obviously a back track due to baby. So I told her she has to clean herself up and throw her panties away as I help girls who go in the potty and I wash panties that don't have poo in them. She was devestated about throwing away her princess panties. So I finally had to say she gets a "pass" this time and if it happens again she will have to throw the panties away. I'm so hoping this will keep her from doing it again. Ugh!

oh, and glad to hear the hh are working out. i want to get some one size to try and those r on my list.
Yes, the bumps are normal, they come and go all over DD2 body. The one on the breast seems to have been one of those bumps thank goodness!

The HH get so tight, I do use a smaller insert with a oval hemp under though so they aren't so bulky.

.
I do the hold where the babe is in on your chest as you put the wrap on then I just nurse upright like that or if needed I pull the top layers of the wrap over DD2 head so she is laying in cradle position and use a nursing cover on top. I wear my bella band so I don't worry about showing, I just pull up my shirt on the inside and I also wear a wrap bra so it's easier to just pull the bra over rather than unhooking it. Now I am a C cup so the G cup may be the problem doing this!

Me too, but even walking in the store makes me sore and bleed more...I'm only 2 weeks pp so hoping it gets better.

-he had a broken blood vessel in his eye from birth. dd never had it - this thursday is 3 weeks it's still mostly there. How long do they take to go away?
DD2 has both these, Ped didn't say anything so I'm sure it's noraml and will eventually go away.

ETA: Oh and DD2 is 9lbs allready and 21". She was just under 8 and 19 1/2" when born! She is growing so fast! She hasn't lost a lb since birth...quite a nurser! Ped wants to see her in another two weeks...is it normal to go this often??? I figured we would do the 2 week check and then be done for a while, we aren't doing shots till age 1 (if we even do them) so just wondering if the checkups are necessary??? Espeically since she's gained weight everytime. We will be taking her once a month to the chiro physician just like we do dd1.

So pimply... Mira is almost 7 weeks old now and is her neck and part of her face are covered in pimples. I know there's a big hormone flush but I thought it was earlier. Could it be prickly heat? Is she getting over heated? How do you tell the difference?

She caught a cold from dd#1 when she was a week old and ended up with an ear infection in both ears already!

DS and I have a head cold right now and I'm just praying she doesn't catch it.

Other than that things are going well.

I hope it gets better soon. DS1 started peeing his pants when my belly started to grow bigger. He didn't get control again until the baby was born, oddly enough.

I've never heard of that before. Our ped said, "See you at three months!"

well, now the bumps on her face have faded a bit and there are more on her chest. there's like a cluster on each breast. funny thing is, the bumps are in all the same places i got them while pg (and now the whole internet knows i had zits on my boobs while pg, lol). we're going to the dr here in a couple weeks, so if theyre still there ill have to mention it.

We see our MW's until 6 to 8 weeks pp, so 2 weeks seems young to stop getting weight done and other things from careprovider. We are seeing them every two weeks and then we start seeing our doc at 3 months.

after the 6 day with my family dr, he doesn't need to see my big man back for 2 months...said it was because he's having no problem gaining weight...he's gained even more from the appt

I've been trying to post all day, I'm finally giving up on doing a big post. I just got back from dropping one child off at gymnastics, I'm driving home afterwards, after chatting with other moms for a while inside, and realize I had a pair of Thomas underwear sticking out of my bra. I was leaking earlier and the undies were the only thing within reach....

I've only taken one long walk so far, I would of sooner (Julian is 2 weeks) but my foot injury is still bothering me. I've always started walking rather quickly after birth, but I seem to recover fast. As far as checkups go, we don't vax but keep a paper trail with a pedi. I had to bring DD1 in for her insomnia yesterday so I had them look at DS for his first appointment. We won't go back until we have an issue/need.

Clara'smom-Sorry to hear about the fires, glad to hear that you weren't too affected.

I've got the same thing going on. Not much advice here though... I use Preparation H but have serious doubts that it is doing much, if anything. Hurts like hell for 12 hours after going. Soaking in a very hot bath helps sometimes.

On another TMI note... is dark red vaginal bleeding still okay at 4 weeks PP? I only bled 2 weeks w/ my first, but I was way too active early on. Maybe taking it easy this time is making it take a longer time to get all the junk out? At any rate, I'm sick of pads and no DTD. :
I know right? I'm still bleeding too at 4 weeks- yuck. But the biggest thing that puts me out of the mood is the aforementioned potential hemorroid and or rectal bleeding= not sexy.

I'm freakish about paci's, but I might have to introduce one if the car continues to be such an issue. DS cries/screams the moment he's in the car seat until he gets out. It makes for miserable white-knuckle trips around town, but I mean I can't just stay home all the time, we have to do errands and get out to enjoy the weather. Poor little bugger.

Regression is completely normal. My almost 4-1/2 yo did the same thing, and it worked itself out in a few weeks. We still have pull-ups in the house, though, for night-time; she actually went back to asking for a pull-up when she had to poop.

Dd1 is really verbal--very upfront with the fact that she'd like to be a baby again, as I think she sees the baby getting all kinds of special perks.

Thanks... It's the third major wildfire here in 9 months, though the first where they've evacuated our neighborhood. Dd1 was amazing through it all. She helped pack her stuff, conked out, then when we had to leave she totally had it together. She was...anxious, but very calm.

My last two children were carseat haters, it was so miserable.

We were back in time for Mothers' Day; the house is undamaged and remarkably ash-free (the winds must have been in our favor).
bummer on the fire & work. glad your place was ok

so, anyone else's baby roll over? is it just a nursing reflex? last night i laid dd on the couch at my folks' house (flat cushions, not slanted) and said to dh "she can't roll, she'll be fine" i was watching her and she rolled right up on to her side and over to her belly? weird
post #53 of 158
kate - dd1 rolled that early on a flat surface like that

So uhm when can we go back to bedroom time with dh? I'm at 3 weeks pp on Thursday, pp bleed is down to a spot or two a day - tomorrow i'm guessing no or only a spot maybe all day... with first kiddo I remember it was before I went in for my 6 week check up, but don't remember when. Oh and it was a vag delivery, very very minor rug burn that never even hurt. No problems or anything. No hemmroids or the such. So can I jump him yet? :
My DS1 rolled from tummy to back at three weeks... I think because he hated tummy time just that much. Nobody believed me though. Glad to hear it's somewhat normal after all.
Murph, I waited until the bleeding was gone and then went ahead. It was three weeks. After the first time I had a little more spotting, so we waited a couple of days again. It's been fine since

uhg - i go from doing good with two kids to feeling like i'm loosing my mind. baby boy spent 3 hours crying this morning. I hate the crying. He just wouldn't stop, wouldn't sleep, would't eat - grrr He's finally sleeping now

I feel so gross. I need a shower, but can't get one now, and after dh gets home it's supposed to storm all night.

I have an eye appt tomorrow and no clue how i'm going to get it done with 2 kids with me.

We are all in different clothes today at least! We need to get out of the house for grocery shopping - but he just fell asleep and i don;t want to hear the screaming again

It will get easier to go out with 2. I promise. As your babe gets bigger, and less fussy, and doesn't need something every second, it gets easier. And dd2 is a screamer too...yesterday was a bad day for us. At the end of the day I was exhausted and I didn't really DO ANYTHING! I was at my ds' baseball game trying not to fall asleep, and all I did the rest of the day was sit and hold her. Got out of the shower before I was done because she was screaming (she was asleep when I got in, 2 minutes earlier) and ran around my house completely nude for an hour before I calmed her down enough to get dressed. sheesh. anyway, I get it. You are not alone mama.
WHY ISN'T THERE A SHUT OFF VALVE FOR THESE BREASTS??? Okay so I'm considering the paci! Which are best for BF babies? DD2 gets so mad when she just wants to suck and my breast sprays milk and chokes her as well as getting it everywhere. We've been doing this all morning. She just wants my nipple in her mouth, not even to suck most and she doesnt want milk. And I have let down immediatly and 3 times during that sprays full force. I'm not sure what to do. Right now she is finally asleep in the wrap with my breast at her face but I'm sure I've soaked her, and me with milk by now...but I don't dare move my breast as she'll wake....

And here I had it sooo easy the first 2 weeks, things are starting to get more difficult. She is quite fussy when she's tired but is harder to get to sleep.

Not to mention DD2 is asking me to play with her every 5 min. And I said no videos last night as consequence for coming out of her room at bedtime...WHAT was I thinking, it's raining today and we have to stay home as my bleeding came back and was bright red and I started having uterine cramping again when nursing, so MW said to basically not do anything the next few days. UGH! I'm complaining alot but it really isn't that bad just some bumps in the road I guess, all part of having a baby.

As for the ped visits, I'm just really surprised as our doc is more natural minded and I had hoped to keep my chidren away from the germs at the doc office for a while. I'll be taking her in two weeks but will hopefully then not go back till 2 month...we do go to our chiro physican who is ped certified twice a month and we all get adjusted, she checks both DD's out and their heart beat etc...weight I can do at LLL if I feel it's needed, but she has not lost a lb and is allready 9lbs. So I"m not worried.

FYI: If some of you can and havn't yet, I read MI_Dawn's blog last night about her greiving process and it was so moving. She is a beautiful writer and I'm amazed at how she can blog this moment of her life. If you can emotionally, take a few min to read it. It really puts things into perspective for me during my frustrating times, I think of her and pray for her and Michievieum in those moments and thank god for my healthy baby even through the frustration.

Yeah, I'm having one of those days as well where I would gladly freecycle my other children. The baby is the easy one, the 6y and the 2.5y, not so much. The 6y isn't sleeping, she is staying the nights at my mom's house this week because she will for whatever reason usually sleep there so we have to drive her out there every night after dinner. We got to this point after 6+ weeks of her being up for hours and hours in the middle of the night, she is so exhausted that she needs to get some sleep. Now the 2.5y is feeling slighted since she isn't the baby anymore and is waking up all night demanding to hold my hand. I'm so tired today that I can barely stay awake. The girls want me to play with them, I keep saying in a minute, but I just can't get up.

And the screaming from the toddler. : I was expecting regressing, and this, but it is still annoying as heck.

funny I just read this and then I put Phoebe down on the floor while I went to the bathroom, and watched her roll from her back to her side, and then back onto her back again. She was 2 weeks yesterday. Go figure.

My son used to locomote all over the house by rolling. It was hilarious. He would roll himself from room to room.
