One of the moms in our playgroup asked today on our msg board what to do with her sons penis (I am assuming he is intact) but anyway assuming that she said her dh had pulled too hard on it or something during a dipe change and it had little tears (ouch) she wanted to know what to do with it so he doesnt get an infection. I didnt know what to say so I said" you guys arent retracting him whenever you change him are you? Becuase You should NEVER DO THAT EVER!!!" To be honest my stomach dropped reading it because I think thats what they may be doing! Everyone else was saying call your ped but I said thats not going to help unless the ped is foreskin educated and we all know that MOST are NOT! I'm always on edge with this stuff and cant help it. So what do I tell her to do?

give her literature

I would print off some lit (http://www.cirp.org/library/hygiene/)
Casually give it to her, and then it is up to her to share with her husband. Take heart! It might just be that they need some education, and then the problem will be solved.

Send her the mothering article "Protect your uncircumcised son"

I would tell her to put bacatracin on there as a preventative measure since he has tears bacteria can get in there and better safe than sorry IMO
