Hi all,
I have recently got some probiotics and a fish oil for DD, that my naturopath recommended. However, I am concerned that the oil is so strongly flavoured ("pleasant tastingh, fruity flavour" as it says on the bottle). According to my naturopath it contains no sweetener, and only added "natural raspberry and lemon flavour". But the smell is extremely strong, ling some raspberry flavoured liqorice for example. It makes me hesitate a bit, as we are not giving DD sugar or sweetened foods, artificial additives of any type, and I would rather not get her hooked on "lolly-taste" at this point. It isn't like it is needed to get her to take the stuff, either.
What do you think? Am I over-reacting? Are there any children's fish oil that doesn't contain artificial stuff, doesn't taste so much like sweets etc? I guess I couldn't give her an adult's fish oil, I'm sure the nutritional levels in it would be wrong and un-safe. So what do I do? Keep giving it to her?
