Clueless: Heartworm treatment??

Our puppy is about 4-6 months old. Are we suppose to buy heart worm protection for him, or will the vet do this with his shots??

I am a little clueless??

Heartworm prevention is a monthly chewable - you can buy it from your vet, or you can get a prescription and buy it online, sometimes cheaper.

Yep. I highly recommend buying online. You can find amazing deals that make it very reasonable.
