Wool Idea

So I love wool--but am on the lazy side. I just found a ton of wool sweaters at some garage sales and am wondering if anyone has ever heard of wool being used as the outer on a pocket. Has anyone tried it?

I have spray on Lanolizer so I think that would keep the lanolin from getting on the pocket inner.

Should I give it a try?

I'm new to cloth, so forgive me if this is a dumb question, but if you used wool as the outer layer on a pocket, how would you wash the liner/inside of the pocket?

Not a dumb question--I was wondering the same thing until I found something like what I am thinking about on Evolution Diapers site: http://www.evolutiondiapers.com/catalog.htm?item=2

They say to just wash with a wool wash that doesn't have added lanolin. Then to spray the lanolin on after.

Because it's already felted I think it would be ok in the wash. Anyone ever washed a felted wool something or other in the washing machine?
