We're relocating to the Manchester area from the NEK in just a few weeks. Any mamas out there? Any suggestions for healthy grocery shopping? fun summer things to do? area groups? any yoga around?

Any advice on the area would be much much much appreciated. Thank you so much!

We're coming up on summer! We spend a great deal of time at Hapgood Pond....awesome place for kids to swim, wade, etc....

I used to live there & my have inlaws lived there for a loooong time.

there are 2 natural food stores in manchester ctr & lots of farmers markets around. one in manchester & more in surrounding towns. there is a great playground at the rec center. a good rainy day activity is going to the northshire book store, also a good place to meet other mamas & kiddos. there is also a really cute library w/ a pretty good children's section right in the middle of town (by the equinox hotel). feeding the fish at the orvis pond is fun. the fish are HUGE! Merck Forest in Rupert has great trails, workshops & a farm w/ animals.

Hi. I'm in Rutland but go down to Manchester fairly often as I am teaching a workshop there. I also used to work there and lived in Arlington (about 15 years ago). I've only been living back in Central/Southern Vermont for about 2 years and am re-discovering it myself.
