yay! I hope you love it. After 4 kids, over a dozen carriers I finally, finally ordered an Ergo a few months ago to use with my 2 yo and I really like it! I wish I had had it earlier on. I have a back/neck problems and I am able to comfortably carry my 30 something pound kid in it for a long time.

which color did you get?

I got camel, it gets hot and sunny in the summer, I figured black would attract the heat.

I CANT WAIT.

THe Bjorn is for the birds!

I got my Ergo. I love it, not sure if DS does. It might take some getting used to. I have had him in a Bjorn, which he loved, but was getting too uncomfy for me.

I feel like he will fall out when I have him on my back, is that normal?

Hopefully he'll get used to it. It is super comfy (although a little warm) for me

I have an Ergo that I like very much, and so does dd, but I'm wondering; do I need a sling as well? I was just thinking that as she most enjoys being carried so that she is facing out sitting on my arm, she would like sitting in a sling looking out. So far the only drawback with the Ergo is that as the weather gets warmer she gets sweaty being up against a person's chest.

jempd, every summer, I make "baby soup" with my little ones! You'll get sweaty in a ring sling or a SSC in my opinion!!!

I just got my first Ergo too! Woohooo!!!

congrats!

i had forgotten how much i love ours (dd is 25 months and we haven't been using it much lately) until we went to a two-day blues festival this past weekend and carried our nearly 30-pound dd in it with no pain at all).

IMO as they get bigger it's a lot harder to carry them facing out and not good for everyone's muscles, backs, etc. I'd say you need something for hip carries, too, either a pouch or a ring sling. I couldn't get the hang of a ring sling, myself, and I like the compactness of my hotsling pouch. It's also prettier than the ergo but not as comfortable for long walks.
